StarTech SFPCMM5M 16.4' Twinax cable with SFP+ latching plug connectors is useful for 10 gigabit Ethernet network application. Ideal for Cisco equipments that have SFP+ ports. StarTech Passive Twinax direct attach cable supports multi-gigabit data rates up to 10.5 Gb/s within a shorter distance. It replaces fiber optic cables for transmitting between storage or networks, network attached storage or storage servers. It is made of flexible as well as fire retardant PVC to ensure maximum bending and to prevent any fatal fire accident. The 16.4' cable has 24 AWG conductor to transfer data at a high-speed through the Ethernet network equipments. Hot-swappable feature along with quick release latching SFP+ connectors of the cable enables it to quickly connect or disconnect fiber optic modules. Cable operates at a temperature rating of 0 to 70 deg C and has storage temperature rating of-40 to 80 deg C. 100% compatibility with Cisco equipment guaranteed. Uses a cost-effective cabling alternative to fiber-optic setups. Complies with Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) industry standards. Low power consumption of less than .5 W. Hot-swappable.
